Il mio Inconvenzionale Week-end a MILANO

Prendi un week end qualsiasi a Milano e le opportunità sono innumerevoli. Vedere un concerto? Mangiare? Fare Shopping? Andare al cinema? Partecipare ad evento? Su qualunque cosa puntiate il dito a Milano c’è. L’importante è avere un’idea da cui partire per non finire col ritornare a casa più stanchi di quando siete partiti. Quando abbiamo deciso di utilizzare i biglietti premio Trenitalia per andare un week end a Milano abbiamo scelto, tra tutti i fine settimana disponibili, di andare nelle date che ci avrebbero permesso di vedere il sabato sera il concerto di Noel Gallagher al Fabrique. E il resto tempo? Innanzitutto, avendo collezionato 10 notti con il programma Welcome Rewards di Hotel, abbiamo prenotato al TH Street Milano Duomo, un delizioso boutique hotel a sette passi dal Duomo. Si tratta di una serie di studi privati al 1° e 2° piano di un edificio completamente ristrutturato in Via Santa Radegonda 14, arredati in stile minimal con tocchi acidi, dove soggiornare in totale privacy. Il check-in si effettua presso il vicino TownHouse Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, dal quale il maggiordomo vi accompagnerà al vostro studio privato. La vetrina accanto all’ingresso dello studio è quella del forno Luini, prima inevitabile tappa di ogni soggiorno milanese che si rispetti. Iniziare il sabato pomeriggio in centro mangiando un paio di panzerotti caldi fritti in questo forno è una tradizione che i milanesi tramandano alle generazioni successive. Anche se si tratta di un tipico prodotto pugliese.

Dopo aver finito i panzerotti, tra le innumerevoli possibilità di svago che offre la città abbiamo optato per una visita alle terrazze del Duomo. Da sopra il tetto del monumento simbolo della città è possibile ammirare il panorama circostante passeggiando tra guglie e gargoyles. Ci sono due possibilità di salita: in ascensore per chi non vuole fare fatica, oppure a piedi per chi ha la pazienza di fare 201 scalini. Benché io non avessi pensato a mettere in valigia scarpe adatte, in barba al divieto di tacchi alti ho scalato la torre a piedi per arrivare fino al tetto dove si è presentata l’impresa più ardua: restare in equilibrio sulla copertura inclinata. Ma la vista sulla Torre Velasca ripaga dalla fatica di qualunque impresa si debba superare per arrivare quassù.

 

Discesa dalle terrazze le moderne tentazioni si prospettano davanti ai miei occhi: le vie dello shopping milanesi. Tra una vetrina e un grande magazzino è tappa obbligata vedere il primo store italiano di Urban Outfitters che ha aperto dal 25 febbraio presso annex la Rinascente. Il brand nato negli 70 a Philadelphia che propone abbigliamento ma anche accessori e articoli per la casa contraddistinti da uno stile alternativo che l’hanno fatto diventare una tappa obbligatoria dei viaggi all'estero.

Quando arriva la sera è il momento di raggiungere il Fabrique per sentire Noel Gallagher cantare dal vivo le canzoni dal suo progetto solista High Flying Birds ma anche dal precedente progetto conosciuto come Oasis.

 

Alla sera finito il concerto, rientrando nel nostro studio, ci siamo accordi nella stessa via della presenza di uno strano locale. Si tratta di cioccolatItaliani (via San Raffaele, 6) il cui intento è creare una cultura del cioccolato attraverso le forme in cui viene lavorato e proposto visibili al pubblico attraverso un gioco di specchi e un accurato posizionamento dei laboratori in cui l’attività degli chef è visibile anche dall’esterno. Il gelato è fatto con un vecchio metodo artigianale e con l’estrazione manuale a remo. Il cono viene riempito. La prima domanda che ti viene fatta è: Nerofuso, Biancofuso o Lattefuso? Perché i coni vengono riempiti al momento di cioccolato caldo fondente, al latte oppure bianco. Dopodiché resta solo l’imbarazzo della scelta tra tutte le declinazioni possibili del cioccolato dalla provenienza locale o esotica. 

Quando ci svegliamo la mattina successiva abbiamo un bisogno assoluto di una colazione. Non sapendo dove dirigerci, seguendo i consigli dell’articolo i dieci locali più belli (e buoni) in cui fare colazione a Milano della rivista Grazia di cui mi colpisce la descrizione della pasticceria Gattullo (Piazzale di Porta Lodovica, 2).

Con nuova energia in corpo ci dirigiamo nuovamente verso il Duomo dove completiamo la visita del giorno prima che era partita dalle terrazze per arrivare all'interno della cattedrale. Nota bene: la lunghezza della gonna deve raggiungere il ginocchio. Se la gonna non arriva al ginocchio assicurarsi di avere una maglietta abbastanza lunga per poter tirare la gonna all'altezza richiesta dai vigilanti sul buon costume all'ingresso.

Terminata la visita è ora di pranzo e devo dire che, anche se le tentazioni sono innumerevoli, non sempre c’è la voglia di provare di qualcosa di nuovo ma si preferisce affidarsi alle vecchie conoscenze. Oppure si possono unire entrambe le cose e scegliere De Santis (al settimo piano de La Rinascente – Piazza Duomo) perché anche se abbiamo già mangiato in questo posto, i 200 panini tra cui scegliere fanno sì che ogni volta è diversa da quella prima. Basta scegliere un panino diverso...

Dopo il pranzo arriva la più classica delle esperienze pomeridiane nel week end: andare al cinema. Sempre a pochi passi dal duomo c’è una sala storica della città in un antico palazzo una volta adibito a teatro, il The Space Cinema – Milano Odeon (via Santa Radegonda, 8) dove vedere l’ultimo lavoro di Michael Mann, Black Hat.

Finito il film c’è solo il tempo per una passeggiata nel quadrilatero della moda per vedere la III edizione di Tombini Art: 24 chiusini in ghisa sono stati interpretati dagli stilisti Armani, Cavalli, Prada, Pucci e gli altri grandi nomi dell’Alta Moda italiana cesellati a rilievo e dipinti a mano.

Purtroppo il tempo è finito, non resta altro da fare che chiudere la valigia e ritornare a casa.

After lunch comes the most classic of experiences afternoon over the weekend: go to the movies.
