Rebecca Bloomwood guarda sconsolata lo schermo del proprio computer. Io, invece, delle tessere fedeltà sono una fervida sostenitrice. Se non le usi non ti creano nessun danno, al contrario, se le usi, possono darti grandi vantaggi. Come passare il fine settimana a Milano (quasi) gratis, quindi ora vi racconterò come ho fatto a trascorrere un week end a Milano, in occasione del concerto di Noel Gallagher il 16 marzo 2015 al Fabrique, spendendo praticamente niente.

 
Per prima cosa si comincia dalla CartaFRECCIA, la tessera fedeltà di Trenitalia per chi viaggia sulle Frecce. Visto che viaggio in treno, perché non accumulare punti per ogni tragitto effettuato? Ogni dicembre i punti accumulati scadono e i premi vanno richiesti entro la fine del febbraio successivo. Le possibilità sono due: o scegli uno dei premi disponibili nel catalogo, che solitamente non hanno un valore corrispondente ai punti che richiedono per essere ritirati, oppure scegli un biglietto premio. Poi se hai abbastanza punti puoi prendere tanti biglietti quanti te ne servono per andare da Venezia a Milano e ritorno. Dopodiché ci si trasferisce sul sito di Hotels.com dove, oltre a proporre un’ampia selezione di hotel in tutto il mondo al miglior prezzo garantito, il programma Welcome Rewards ti permette di ricevere 1 pernottamento gratis dopo aver collezionato 10 notti in hotel. La logica è elementare: trascorri un week-end a Londra, poi fai un viaggio di lavoro, ti fermi a dormire dopo aver visto un concerto e quando arrivano le vacanze d’estate in un attimo hai già raggiunto la quota. Quasi tutti gli hotel presenti sul sito aderiscono sia al programma di collezione notti che alla possibilità di riscattarle. Ovviamente, non è che dopo aver dormito per 10 notti in ostello, dormi una notte gratis al Danieli di Venezia, il valore della notte equivale alla media dei 10 pernottamenti accumulati e a tuo carico restano le tasse e le commissioni. Dopo un po’ che partecipiamo a questo programma ci siamo ritrovati con la possibilità di scegliere dove trascorrere una notte e l’occasione di poter soggiornare in un hotel di categoria superiore era troppo ghiotta visto che puoi prenotare una camera ad un prezzo superiore al valore della notte gratis, basta pagare la differenza. È così che aggiungendo qualcosa abbiamo potuto soggiornare al TH Street Milano Duomo (Via Santa Radegonda, 14) dove vivere un nuovo concetto di ospitalità urbana con un'esperienza fuori dall'ordinario per i viaggiatori come noi a cui piace qualcosa di diverso. Organizzato tutto per partire mancava solo un piccolo e non trascurabile dettaglio: i biglietti per il concerto. Ma con un pizzico di fortuna dalla nostra parte e una certa dose di audacia anche quello è stato risolto. Ora mancava solo decidere cosa mettere in valigia...
